No Channel Logos [Text View]

I recently bought a replacement hard drive from Weaknees for my Hughes DVR120, Series II.

All is working very well except I have no channel logos. The software is 6.2.xxxx and I've forced some phone calls and restarted the TiVo, all to no avail.

I'm turning to you guys now. How do I get my icons back?

you don't....unless you hack the drive to put them back in. "Clear and Delete" on Tivo clears them also. I've had that happen before. I have also heard that Weaknees images they use for drives do not have them. Sorry! I feel your pain! Been there! DTV claims that a software update would bring them back....but since they do not use Tivo branded DVR's anymore and therefore have no future updates for them...we're screwed.

Probably not since the new drive required going through Guided Setup in the first place.

If 12b is right, that is sad news, after all. It's unlikely that I'm going to hack my TiVo. Too many toys, too little time.

Have any experiments been performed to determine if humans can survive without logos?
