[SIZE=2]hi all i am a resident of edmonton alberta Canada, can i get service??? if yes then how?????

DirecTV does not support Canadian residents, but there's nothing in a DirecTV TiVo that would stop it from working in Canada if you can get a signal. Of course, arranging for service from DirecTV is something else entirely.

You forgot to put [/size] at the end.
You could go to Hitec's web site and PM him he lives in Canada and
has 2 or 3 tivo's with Dtv.

Actually, the [Size=2] tag somehow got there. Closing it would have been worse.
If you can find a broker or a friend in the US to help you, you can subscribe to DirecTV service, and use a DriecTV TiVo.
You can't directly sibscribe to DirecTV in Canada, plus it is against Candian laws to get foreign pay TV services, although I hav notihng against it, if you are actually subscribing.
