Hi all. After years of hearing about how cool Tivo's are, I finally got one last week, and I love it so far. I'm hooked already.

I have a question about watching content on other TV's in the house. I have one Series2 connected to the main TV in the living room. Would like to be able to watch that content in other places, if poss. Sometimes from other TV's in the house, sometimes from my laptop while on the road.

I've checked into both TivoToGo and Slingbox, and it doesn't look like either of them will get the content to another TV in the house. I wouldn't mind picking up a used Tivo from eBay, but don't really want to pay for another full subscription to their services.

Any suggestions on how I can tackle this?

Thanks,
Len

Some people use a product like AVcast to pipe TiVo to other rooms using existing cable in the house. As for laptop viewing, TiVo2Go is your only option if you don't like the slingbox.

Len -

Check out the "TERK Leapfrog LF-30S" for about $70 new (or on ebay for less). I have my TIVO on my TV downstairs in my livingroom, and also watch and control it in my bedroom upstairs. Easy and simple to use and hook up.

Here it is on Amazon > http://www.amazon.com/Terk-Technologies-LF-30S-Wireless-Distribution/dp/B00009UHXR/sr=8-1/qid=1161575976/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-3545493-9692851?ie=UTF8

And a little product demo that I found here > http://www.expotv.com/index.php?option=com_video&VideoId=4059&Itemid=41

Good luck,
Craig

I use the Avcast equipment and like it, especially the fact it uses the coax to send the remote control signal back to the TiVo unit and reduces any wireless interference. Check out www.crossbarmedia.com for more info

You could buy a retail unit ad sub it with MSD at $6.95, although Avcast or other home video distribution systems will be cheaper in the long run (what I do actually).

For on the road, a Slingbox or similar device is best.
