Picture & Sound break up - then TiVo freezes

My TiVo has worked fine for two years. However, recently both picture and sound have started to break up - gradually at first, then over the entire screen. Finally it freezes up. It used to come good if I pulled the TiVo powerplug and caused a hard reset, but today even that did not work for long - within 5 minutes everything was frozen again. This happens when I am watching Live TV via the TiVo and also with recently recorded programs. I have not touched or altered the physical connections. I receive Freeview channels with a Grundig Digital TV receiver which is connected to the TiVo. I thought it might be running short of memory, so I deleted many hours' worth of stored programs - with no effect.

I would be very grateful for any help - particularly as things seem to be getting worse quite rapidly.

Sounds like a signal problem with the freeview box, we had the same thing happen to ours but after this weekend i'm fitting an aerial to our rooftop that BBC would be proud of!

I assume you have no problems watching your Freeview box via aux bypass?
