I have seen plenty of threads about upgrading a hacked HR10 to 6.3a but not the other way around. I want to hack a new drive and put it in my HR10.

I have the recommended usb adapter and a hard drive so I want to shelve the original and put a hacked image on the replacement.

I used Instantcake and PTVnet on my SD DTivo but I don't see an image for the HD unit. What's the best plan of attack?

From what I remember from some of those upgrading to 6.3 threads, most of the zipper works, you just have a couple manual commands that need to be done in order to get the networking up and running. I would suggest either reading or searching in the Upgrading Your Hacked HR10-250 to 6.3 (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=315245) thread and the Manually Forcing 6.3 Slice Upgrade (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=4390645) thread.
