Annoying Electrical Beep

Hello all,

Am I looking at a hard drive failure or is it the weather?

I ask this as I am getting a weird periodic electrical beep over the audio channel (not from within the box) while watching recorded shows. I have recently moved to Northern Kentucky from California where I have noticed weather related quality issues with Satellite and this stems to the Weather part in my questions. I have an HDVR2 upgraded with an added drive but over all the system is 4+ years old.

I would appreciate any comments or direction to helpful links that may address this already.

Remove and re-seat all connections

Did you wire the house yourself?

If not, it is possible the contractor ran a Tv or speaker parallel to an electric wire... which I am told is a BIG no-no
