How does that work? I have my directv contract... With the CRAP directv dvr... horrible, horrible horrible

want to buy an r10 off ebay... I wont have to pay more for service right? 6.99 will cover ALL dvr's in the house?

Can i move the CRAP dvr reciever into another room?

You'll have to pay $6.99 for another receiver, and yes you can move your DVR's to any room in the house (with satellite cable runs of course).

But directv told me its like 5.99 no matter if i have 1... or 5? Does this only apply to their dvr models?

You pay ONCE for Tivo service, for as many receivers as you have

You pay a "mirror fee" for EACH added receiver, be it regular or Tivo

Different fees for different things

Oh, ok gotcha gotcha...

What i prob would do... Take my r-15... move that to a room that just has a directv receiver with no dvr, and put that there.

Then put the tivo downstairs, and NOT use the standard reciever from the other room.

So i would lose one 5.99 fee...

The question is.. with a tivo dvr... and a directv dvr... will they charge me once or twice for dvr service? (if twice ill not use the directv one)

Also, will there be a contract issue if i stop using one of my receivers?

There's just one "DVR Fee" .... it does not matter if those DVRs are DirecTV/Tivo or non-Tivo DVRs.

If you plan to stop using one of your regular receivers, DirecTV can deactivate so you don't pay the $5 "Mirroring Fee" for that receiver.
