I currently have one computer running Tivo Desktop, accessible from the TiVo, and autotransferring programs. I have a second directory on the same computer containing (legal!) video that I will occasionally access via the TiVo by changing the directory to which TiVo Desktop points.

I would love to have subdirectories (unsupported by TiVo Desktop) within one folder, or have TiVo Desktop point to multiple folders simultaneously (also unsupported). Trying to think of other solutions, I stumbled on the idea of running multiple instances of TiVo Desktop, each pointing to a different directory, thus allowing me to access either directory via the TiVo without having to change the directory in TiVo Desktop.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get two instances of TiVo desktop running simultaneously on a single Windows XP computer?

Thanks!

Matt

Try running Galleon with the ToGo application as well. From the TiVo it appears the same at the bottom of the now playing. You can point it to another directory.....

being able to use folders for shows has/was a hot topic, I have hundreds of shows saved off (something to get me through the off season for MotoGP) being able to folder them would be sweet, even just being able to edit the description or meta tag or what ever they use would be sweet... I have 100 things that say "motorcycle racing" try and find a certain race or even certain race series... you have to select each one to see the details... reminds me of trying to use the tivo server for music on a PC.. not so good...

my tivo rant (http://trialsoftheswitch.com/index.php/2006/09/23/tivo/)

Chester - I had not thought of using Galleon. I will give it a try. Many thanks for the idea!
