So I'm at home yesterday and my S3 is playing up. Most of my premium channels are blank and HBO is pixilating and breaking up all over the place. Whats worse is the problem seems worse on one tuner than another.
I reboot, curse cablecard and have this sinking feeling that maybe some of the issues discussed here are going to affect me after a month or so of working perfectly.
I phone Comcast and they ask me to reboot my STB. Without thinking I go to the other room and turn on the TV with a STB and see it has nothing - no channels at all, premium or regular. My Cablecard S3 is still picking up over half the channels out there but the STB gets nothing!!!!!
While I'm on the phone to the CSR two Comcast trucks roll up outside. There has been a problem in the road all day and 10 minutes later its all fixed. 100% on both the S3 and the STB.
So here is an example of the S3 with cablecards doing better than the STB. Oh yes - it took me ages to find the remote to the STB. I don't think I've used it interactively since I got my S3 so the S3 can't be doing that bad.
