About 30% of the time I get "Channel Not Available" when trying to record. The overlap lets me see what channel number actually got sent to the recorder. Usually happens on the "local" channels & the "9" gets messed up. As in "961" coming out "61" of something similar. does not happen when I manually change channels. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What is the source for the TiVo? Sat box? Cable Box?
Anyway, try a different speed for the remote code.

The source is Directv. I have reset the TIVO & tried different speeds. This would make more sense if it would happen when I manually change channels.

Went through the channel selection setup again works fine in all their tests.
Will try programming and see what happens.
