I am wanting to access the Tivo tv guide from my computer .
So I can look at up coming shows and be able to schedule a show to be recorded.

I know that Tivo has a service over the internet that can do this but I am wanting to only use this from my local network at home.

The HME has the ability to add menu items to the Tivo screens but I see no calls that can be made to access the tv guide in the Tivo system.

The reason is that I find it irritating when another person is looking at the tv guide or specially if they want to view a screen that has no sound or picture like when you press the Tivo button.

I have written a program that can control all my devices with a touch screen monitor and it pulls the tv guide from Zap2it but I would like to be able to view info that is only in the Tivo system like To Do list and Season pass.

Any plans for such a feature or suggestions?
Thanks

If you want to hack your TiVo, TiVoWebPlus can do most of what you want.

I looked into tivo web plus but found out that the Humax T800 I have can not be hacked unless I reprogram an eeprom :(

Yes, I believe tivo web plus would have been the way to go.

I really wish Tivo would create some cgi scripts that can be accessed with a web browser to get functionality I am wanting. The cgi scripts would not need to output HTML only ascii text and the scripts that allow you to schedule or delete programs would be a simple URL get request with parameters.

They could control who has access to the cgi scripts just as they are doing now by killing any program they see that should not be running unless the user activated the service.
