I thought that was a very good episode for showing what Good Eats is like: models, skits, unitaskers, characters. I was disappointed he didn't cover kettle corn, though. It'd also be nice to know where all those types of popcorn can be bought.

I tried making kettle corn at home. I've got a deep 23in Wok and and outdoor burner. Disaster. That whole "equal and opposite reaction" thing, for every kernel that popped, a spray of hot oil and molten sugar erupted.
I'm going to stick to buyng it at fhe farmers market from now on.

The humor in this eposide reminded me a lot of some of the earlier episodes. I really enjoyed it.
Even before Deb popped out of the "side" of the cavern, I was laughing at the campy Batman parody.
But, yeah, where to get heirloom popping corn?

Popcorn for breakfast? Hmmmm ....
I thought that was strange at first, and then I remembered puffed wheat and puffed rice.

IMHO, a pretty weak episode. The only thing he cooked was popcorn, and the only "inventive" gimmick he came up with is to use a heavy duty stainless steel bowl on the burner as opposed to a pot.
