OK, I am a hetersexual adult male who is embarrassed to say have started to watch Dawsons creek reruns.

I mean, tonight I watched Gilmore girls followed by Dawsons creek.

OK, enough about me.

My question is why did Joey and Dawson break up, and how did she hurt him ?

I started watching about the point where that idiot Pacey broke up with Joey at the Prom. What a jerk.

I dont want to read esposode guides becasue I dont want to ruin all of them.

I need to go watch something manly like Lost or the ultimate fighter now.

Um, early on Joey and Dawson broke up because Dawson learned that J's dad, who had only recently gotten out of jail and was still on parole, had gone back to whatever illegal thing had had been doing before that had landed him in jail--I think it might have been drugs, but I'm not sure . . . annyway, dawson told joey this, and also told the police. Joey ended up agreeing to be wired and gt her dad to confess, sending him back to prison. Joey then blamed dawson for ruining her family and broke up with him.

She hurt him, then, by going out with pacey . . .

I think that's it.
I mean, I know all of that happened, but I think that asnwers your question . . .

When I was 8months pregnant, I left work to start my maternity leave...and in the month that I was home before my son was born, I was able to watch the ENTIRE Dawson's Creek series on TBS. All of it.

So I would have helped with this question if I had gotten to it first. :)

brianG - Get the DVDs and watch from the start.

I'm a straight adult guy, and I liked it too. I did miss all of season 2 and part of season 3, so someday I'm going to get the DVDs and see what I never saw.

And if I remember right (I saw it first run on the WB), Joey had met the Kerr Smith character (Jack?), and became interested in him. Then she found out he was gay, so that spoiled everything, LoL.
