I am surprised to have not seen a thread for DH this week. I would've made one sooner, but had not watched the episode until last night.

Anyone wonder how John has his own business, is slated to be hosting a gardening show, and is engaged to be married? Wasn't he supposed to be sixteen or something during season one? In fact, IIRC, wasn't he dating Bree's daughter, who is still in high school? I had imagined them to be roughly the same age.

I guess it says a lot about the show that there isn't a thread until three days later.

After each episode this season, my wife turns to me and says "This show is crazy." To which I respond "If by crazy, you mean ridiculous, then I agree." :)

Gabby in the suitcase was funny. I figured for sure that John's fiancee would see the diamond watch.

Lynette with the ex driving to the campsite felt like a wasted opportunity for a real discussion between those two.

The Twin Peaks guy tracking down Andrew and talking him into coming home was pretty lame. I was hoping he would stay on the streets for a few more episodes at least.

As for the Susan/coma/other guy storyline -

It was made pretty obvious that it was because the girlfriends dad was basically giving him the business and probably just as likely the contacts for the gardening show.

As ridiculous as it is, I keep coming back and watching it. It looks so good in HD. :)

Used to be the DH threads garnered more attention. Are the characters no longer interesting? Is the mystery gone? Don't you care if Orson tosses some remaining bits of Brie in the dumpster?

I get all this, it just seems like a lot for a kid who was sixteen two seasons ago.

I think the charm is gone for DH. The first season, it was just soooo different than most anything else (outside of Lost) on at the time. I just think we've become bored with the characters. There's really not much else you can do with them And they all keep making the same mistakes.

I still watch, but it's not something that I get excited about anymore. If I didn't have a TiVo, DH would probably lose out to Family Guy over what to watch during that time slot. Two years ago, that wouldn't have been the case...

There was also a lot more MYSTERY in the first season. That is all gone.

If the events that are happening now, would have been done in the first season then we wouldn't KNOW that Orsen is a serial killer.

Also, I heard an interview with the guy who plays Mike where he said that the audience wanted more of the women together in scenes. This has, aprarently, been completely dropped as they never seem to talk to each other anymore.

Opening each other suitcases was MILDLY amusing, but far from even plausable. Mike waking up was predictable. Tom's other kid's mother (Hallmark needs a card for that BTW.) is SUCH an annoying character.

I miss the dark aspects of the show that were brought by Huber, and then her sister. Now it seems to be turning into just another soap opera.

"There was also a lot more MYSTERY in the first season."

Thanks. If any of you watch Lost or Heroes, this is why I don't want the answers to come too quickly. Season 2 of DH wasn't nearly as compelling because all/most of the mysteries were resolved.
