Hey all -
Not quite sure what to make of this problem. Recently had DirecTV swap out my HR10-250 (thank God it was still under warranty) due to a failing HDMI output. They replaced it, much to my chagrin, with a "reconditioned" unit.
I noticed that during setup, many of the menus "stuttered" and paused for a few seconds...that seems to have gone away...HOWEVER, I am seeing frequent "stutters" and pauses (and occasional digital breakup) on my over-air HD locals.
My natural intuition was that it was my antenna pointing (although i hadn't changed my antenna position since installing the "new" unit and the old one never had these problems). So I ran through the setup, and it was clear that it wasn't the antenna since the stations has signal strengths from 88 to 92.
I'm NOT seeing the stuttering and pauses on other channels.
So I'm a bit stumped. Since I haven't returned my old unit yet, I'm tempted to crack it open, and swap out the HDMI cards (since that was the original problem) and just so back to my old one, but that would void the warranty (...I know, not a problem that hackers worry about, but I don't generally hack inside the box...).
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Oh, by the way - not running 6.3 - still on 3.1...
