pc viewing of shows

I am sure there is info on this somewhere, is it possible to view shows from another network. What I mean is this, Can I tape shows on my home network and watch them at my weekend cabin which also has wireless internet. Also it has been almost a full 24 hours since I set up the tivo and I still have no media access key, how long does it take for me to get a media access key.

If you mean take the TiVo with you, yes you can do that. You don't even need internet, unless you wish to have guide updates.

If you mean take the .tivo files with you on oyur laptop or a portable HDD, you can do that too, you just need Desptop and your MAK on the portable/other computer.

What you might not be able do do is trasnfer .tivo files form your home TiVo over the internet to your cabin computer, mostly becasue of bandwidth, plus toyr TiVo TOS essentially forbids it.

You should get your MAK in a couple days.
