Peanut Failure

Since the 6.3 update, I've noticed on certain commercials that the HR10 would stop responding to fast forward, rewind, and 30 second skip requests. These instances escalated until tonite - during Studio 60, the remote stopped operating any Tivo functions but still controlled audio and TV elements. The peanut IR light would only come on when using the TV-related buttons but remained dark when attempting a Tivo function.

I rebooted, and the TV screen was completely upside down from the Powering Up screen to Live TV. Rebooted again, and the TV screen orientation is okay but the peanut still dows not functrion with Tivo. Any ideas? And, yes, the batteries are fresh. :)

Check for IR interference from a stuck button on another remote or one stuck in a chair cushion. This can be any remote, not just the TiVo remote.

Good thought, and thanks. I'll check. The other Series 2 remote works the unit, though, so I don't think it's that.
