I hate writing this because I don't want it to be real...
To make a long story short, somehow someone stole my credit card information, the card was cancelled after it was realized it was fraudulant, but not before they managed to max me out. But thats really another issue for another time. The thing is, thats the card TIVO is put on, and it's due in 2 days. I have no other credit cards, I do have my debit card but it's depleated until Monday. SO the question is, how long is TIVO patient? Or do they automatically suspend your subscription THE day the payment is due and not paid, or do they have a small patient waiting period? This really blows, seriously. I'm not looking forward to the fact that I may be without TIVO for a few days *cries*
But just in case, I'm also heard conflicting answers. I have the series 2 DT, can I manually record using it if my subscription is on hold? Some have said yes, others have said no.

First, don't wait around to find out what Tivo will do. Be proactive and contact customer support and explain the situation. I'm not sure what the answer will be, but I bet they'd be willing to work with you.

+1
Its worth at least the call to TiVo. I also could not guess the answer, but I would figure they would be willing to help.

Well, I assume that when the pymt is declined you will still have access to 14 days worth of listings, therefore being able to record your shows. By then you should have your replacement card.
BTW, I do know that TiVo is able to manually extend your subscription by 7 or 14 (?) days. Can't remember the exact number.
But of course the other posters are correct. CALL TiVo

I'll go with the majority here and tell you to call customer support. No matter what the "automatic" response is, they probably do have it within their power to make an exception. I don't know from experience how understanding they may be, but many businesses would work with you in this situation.

I'd disconnect it from the phone line or network until the payment is made so that the unit doesn't get any information about the account status, which could cripple it until the account is up to date. It's only a few days and you do have about 12 days worth of guide data, so you should be fine.
And yes, call tivo and see what they have to say.

Thank you all! I did call TIVO this morning and talked to them about it and they gave me 2 weeks (the 27th) and if it isn't fixed by then they told me to call them back and they could give me another week, but said I'd be liable for late charges (obviously). SO I'm very happy now (about tivo anyway)

FYI
To make use of this you must disconnect from the TiVo "call home" service (phone or network).
The OP did solved his problem with TiVo the correct way.
