Battery Cover for Remote

Anyone have any broken remotes so that I can scavenge the battery covers? Happy to pay reasonable price + shipping. My kids enjoy playing with the cover and have broken the tabs off of 2 of the peanut remotes. 1 is purple and 1 is black (deep purple). Hate to buy a whole new remote when all I need is the battery cover.

Really a piece of clear tape will work. :D

I ordered battery covers for my childrens Gameboys a few years ago. They were 90 cents or so a piece. Call TiVo, they might sell them.

They can't replace the Tivo logo stickers that fall off, I seriously doubt they'd have battery covers available.

I need one too - just noticed that the battery cover on my remote is missing! Have no idea where it went - mines the dark charcoal s2 - not paying $25 for a new remote, I'll cover your postage plus the trouble of mailing it. PM me your paypal address with what it'll cost me and i'll send you my mailing address.

I wonder if the series3 TiVos still use the same poorly designed battery cover as its predecessor. Most people figure a replacement will meet the same fate (more so if they have kids, or dogs who like to use remotes as chew toys) as the original battery cover and use tape or superglue to "fix" the broken one.

Mine broke too, I have a piece of scotch tape holding it on. Not necessarily the most ideal situation (the tape is right where you hand holds the remote and sometimes the tape peels up) but it works. Those two little plastic tabs must not hold up well to dropping on hardwood floors.

Ditto on that, the tape works OK, just wish I could order two replacement covers.

I wish Tivo had freakin email support for simple questions. I'm not sitting on hold just to find out that they don't sell the battery cover separate.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I now have two (one black one grey) tivo remotes with battery covers that will not stay on (clips broke).

The second one broke on week two of owning the box!

You'd think Tivo would have addressed this issue by now....

Anyone out there have old ones laying aroung I could buy?
