Just purchased a new PC, I installed a fresh copy of MS MCE (fully patched and updated) and then Roxio Easy Media Creator (EMC) 9 and finally Tivo 2.3a. The OS, Tivo 2.3a and EMC 9 are the only thing installed. Everything worked great the first week but now yesterday (I did nothing) all my videos (MPGs from my digital camera) only play the video portion for about 3-7 seconds but the audio continues to the end (video is 28 sec long). It does the same thing in Media Center, Roxio videowave edit software and windows media player 10. But in Roxio's Cineplayer it plays fine, audio and video are OK.

So I took the same video file and played it on another pc and it plays fine in WMP10 there. So I rolled back the PC to just after the OS was installed and the videos now play fine again in all apps. Then I installed EMC 9 and again they played fine in all apps. Finally I installed 2.3a and it started acting up again plays for a few seconds then video stops but the audio continues to the end of the file. The slider bar and clip time indicated in the players only display 5-7 seconds, but when Tivo is uninstalled it shows the full time of the clip about 27 seconds, (same file). Then I unistalled 2.3a and videos played fine so I installed 2.3 and acted up again.

Any ideas? Thanks

Update:

I ran dxdiag without tivo 2.3 installed and did a textpad compare to the dxdiag after tivo 2.3 was installed and here it is:

KEY TO TEXTPAD COMPARE
< Precedes each different line from the first file.
> Precedes each different line from the second file.
a Means that the lines following were added.
d Means that the lines following were deleted.
c Means that the lines following were changed.
--- Separates changed lines in the first file from the second.

For example, "14,26c122,123" means that lines 14 to 26 in the first file are changed to lines 122 to 123 in the second file.

Any ideas?
