Almost immediately after my 6.3 upgrade I became incontinent! Am I expected to believe that this is not related! It has to be related to the upgrade.
Earl are you having this problem with the HR20?
This may cost me my job!

Yes, I know the definition. I've heard just about everything else blamed on 6.3--so why not? So I made this one up for a little laugh. :)

According to many commercials we tend to FF through or totally skip in 30 second increments,
there are a number of prescription drugs to combat this problem.
You too can take a road trip to Vegas and chug a 64oz bottled water without a care in the world.
Ask your doctor.
Beware the side effects.

Hey, before 6.3, North Korea never detonated any nuclear weapons. Coincidence.... I think not! ;)

Wouldn't have had that problem pre 6.3...
Oh wait a minute I don't have 6.3 yet, I have a feeling I better not laugh really hard when I do get 6.3

Incontinent -- That's not the same as bi-coastal - right?

No incontinence however I did get explosive, projectile diarrhea.

I do appreciate the humor. However, given that there do seem to be a number of people having *the same* problems, which arose *only* after the 6.3 upgrade, I do think there are some very real problems with the upgrade, although they may not affect all units or all configurations.

Rumor has it that Kim Jong Il was tired of the DD audio dropouts...

Agreed.
And hi to ReplayMike, from an early ReplayTV (Panny Showstopper) user.

I sure hope D* had the good sense to not send 6.3 to postal workers.

The reality is that I am 0 for three on receiving the 6.3 update on my three HR10's. I presumed that is my bad luck at work again--then again if it turns out that there are real issues with 6.3a maybe it is good luck--I guess only time will tell.

But all we really know is that past a certain date, some people started reporting issues with audio. That date was close to 6.3 coming out, no doubt, but plenty of people have issues that seem exactly the same still using 3.1.5. There is no way to positively correlate those events. The dropouts are also approximately coincident with a new TV season, did that cause them? It happens more with some broadcasters than others, how is that related, the 6.3 software records those channels too. 8vsb reception is prone to the occaisional glitch making it even harder to narrow stuff like this down. Maybe there is an issue that can affect all the HR10-250s, but some change in 6.3 makes it more prone to it.
All of these are things that none of us have the ability to know, so just like I can't say that 6.3 definitely did not cause the issues, no one can legitimately say the 6.3 definitely did.

Well, I've got 3 HR10's hooked up in my house ...and only one of 'em has 6.3. I had each one on the same channel watching football, and experienced the '10 second dropout' on the unit with 6.3 ...only. The other 2 were fine.
I've experienced dropouts with 3.1.5 before ...but this is completely different ....never has the audio been absent for that length of time, while the video continued w/o problem (a slight video blip when audio returns).
I was one of the folks here stating "I've had the same problem now and then on 3.1.5," but I must admit, this is nothing like anything I've ever experienced before and I attribute it solely to 6.3.
