Has Anyone Tried an External HD Yet?

I was just wondering if anyone had tried plugging in a usb hard drive yet?

TiVos don't support USB hard drives.

The Series3 has an external Serial-ATA port that can be used for this, but it is currently not enabled. I read that someone on the board here tried hooking up a drive to this, but the TiVo gave no indication of recognizing it. There have been several posts about this.
