Expand RAM?

I know you can increase the hard drive space in a TiVo Series 2. However, the current software slow down acts as if more RAM would help with the problem. Is it possible to increase the available RAM (is it built into the motherboard or is it a removable DIMM, similar to a desktop computer)? If so, what type of memory should be used, how much is currently installed, and what is the maximum it can go to?

The TiVo is not like a PC other than it has a hard drive. It is not built to be expandable, so there is no easy way to add RAM. In any case, the slowdown probably is related to the speed of the processor and all the things it is trying to do. The processors in TiVos are not fast processors like those in a PC.
