Is there a way to record all first-run HBO HD movies by means of a season pass or anything similar?

I'll take a stab at this:

1. I don't believe there is anything like "first run" for movies. That applies only to TV series, so on HBO it would apply to Sopranos etc...

2. I don't believe there is anyway to tell TiVo to record all feature length movies on HBO, however you should look into the Wishlist feature, it might do something close to what you really want...

I don't see how I can restrict the Wishlist feature to HD channels.

I think all their first-run movies are on Sunday nights. Problem is, the start times differ (7:30 - 8:00).

I thought it was Saturdays, 8:00 pm.

It used to be on Saturdays, but they moved it to Sundays (http://www.hbo.com/premieres/?ntrack_para1=leftnav_category3) starting this fall. The reason for the different start times is the new season of The Wire runs at 10 p.m.

I don't see how I can restrict the Wishlist feature to HD channels. Short of filtering out all but HD channels from your channel list I don't think there is a way to do it with the S3...

I filtered out all but HBO HD. This has the effect that I cannot get a Season Pass for any other channel anymore. I guess my only way out is to look at the program guide and manually select HBO HD shows.
