Folder view help????

Hello...

I've tried to search for this topic, and only find posts about the "deleted programs" folder...I have a HD 10-250, and got it NOT for HD, but for the size of the drive (apologies to those who would see this as aquality sell-out) :rolleyes:

Even on SD this recorder has way better quality than my old DTivo. But, so many programs, and so little organization is a killer.

Can anyone help me? Bless you, if you can!

I'm moderately computer savvy, but far from "Tech talented." I understand that I need software version 6.3--is that something that "happens" via the satellite, automatically, or?

keep your HR10 connected to a phone line and you should receive 6.3 in the next couple of weeks.

Hello again Mazingamom - it's annenoe - I see you found us!
The software update is delivered via satellite (or that's what i understand), but you need to make a phone call to get it to install (the phone call authorized the install).

If you are continuously hooked up to phone, it will happen automatically in the next few weeks (as Astro suggests) and you don't have to do anything else.

If (like me) you are not hooked up to a phone line, you will have to "force" the call, e.g., you drag out your phone cord, run it thru your LR, across the DR to the closest phone jack in the kitchen, then go into settings, phone and "make the daily call now". If the software downloaded since the last call, the process will begin. Otherwise, you wait another 24 hours, make another call.

The 6.3 rollout is happening right now and is reportedly going to be completed by next week. So hang tight and you'll get it soon.
