lifetime activation quest for series 3

I rec'd an email offer from tivo to buy a S3 (for $799) and for $199 more I could transfer the lifetime subscription to this unit. My question is: Could I buy 2 S3's and transfer lifetime to both units for $199ea? If I could, would I get 2years service (1yr ea) on my S2? Has anyone done this ?

Assuming you only have one S2 with lifetime, I think you could only transfer the lifetime to one S3 unit using the $199 deal.
