Limits on Season Pass

Let's say I create a season pass to SpongeBob (there's about 80 episodes a day, so this is a good example).

Then let's say I tell Tivo to only keep a max of 5 episodes.

What happen's when the folder has 5 in it and another one is ready to record:

1. does tivo ditch the oldest episode in the folder and record the new one

or

2. does tivo see that I already have 5 episodes and not record the next one

I know, I could test this out, but I figured someone could answer directly...

The answer is #1. If you would like TiVo to do #2 then you can set the season pass for "save until I delete". Note that if you change the season pass any previously recorded episodes of Sponge Bob will not count towards the max of 5 for this season pass.

My uderstanding is slightly different -- Record the new program and then ditch the oldest (keeping 5).

You will only have 5 shows in the folder so once the newest starts to record, the oldest is already in the Recently Deleted folder.
