My TiVo keeps recording 1 hour of 'Badminton' a week on Setanta Sports (well, no, just a banner telling me to subscribe). Now I would be prepared to pay for this but I find that...

The website price is 15UKP for the subscription. I'm prepared to pay that for this programme alone, never mind what else might be on that I'm interested in.

The real price however is 22UKP if you want multi room. I can't find anywhere on their website where they say this.

In my living room, I have a TiVo connected to one Sky box, in a cupboard on their own, and one more Sky box for live viewing, so TiVo can look after my recordings and we can watch what we want live.

Apparently this 'feature' from Setanta is new in the last 6 months and I am to lump it or not subscribe. Needless to say, Sky+ subscribers (who can already record one channel and watch another) are not charged this Setanta surcharge.

**** 'em. Avoid Setanta if you have TiVo.

I'm not sure others would'nt share the sentiment of "Setanta discriminate against TiVo". The crux of your complaint is that Setanta charge extra for multiroom subscription - and this (obviously) has nothing to do with TiVo.

[Edit: Forgot to include the word "not" at the start of the statement]

Setanta only charge £7 - Sky charge £10
