No sound

I cant work out whats going on.

I have an ntl samsung box & since the channel change am not getting any sound thru tivo on the live broadcast, or new recordings. However, tivo UI sound's and the sound on recordings prior to the channel change are working fine.

Sound is going down the scart from the NTL box as direct connection to the TV has confirmed this.

Is it feasible that the input sound channels on teh tivo have died and the channel numbering change is co-incidental?

This is a well known problem as a search of this forum for "no sound" would quickly have proved;):)

However, try restarting the TiVo from the System Reset menu.
