Tivo had this message for me today...

Subject: Daily Call Required
From: Internal alert from your TiVo Recorder
Date: Sun 1st Oct 2006
Expire: Mon 1st Oct 2007
The Recorder has no more Programme Guide data. The Recorder must make a successful daily call to resume recording Season Passes and programmes, to update Channel Highlights and Inside TiVo, and to receive Software Updates.

To make a daily call now:
- Check that the phone line is connected
- Then, from TiVo Central choose "Messages and Setup"
- Choose "Recorder & Phone Setup"
- Choose "Phone Connection"
- Choose "Make Daily Call Now"
If the call doesn't succeed, check the Phone Troubleshooting tips in "Messages and Setup."

However, quick look via Tivoweb says:-
Last Successful Call: Sunday 1st Oct at 06:51
Last Call Attempt: Sunday 1st Oct at 06:51
Last Attempt Status: Succeeded
Next Scheduled Call: Monday 2nd Oct at 06:53
Prog. Guide Data to: Saturday 21st Oct 2006

And there is programme data (not just placeholders) for 21st October.

Very strange.

I have seen this message occasionally on my lifetime subbed Sky TiVo. It has always sorted itself out without intervention.

I had this recently, and after repeated successful daily calls didn't cure it , I decided to reboot and it cured it - I should have tried rebooting first!
