Series 2 enhancements, caller ID.. telnet..

I am trying to get Telnet up and running on my series 2 and also YAC Caller ID program.

For YAC, I have the $5.00 LBA disc and I have these commands

gzip -d yac-0.15-tivo.tar.gz
cpio -H tar -i < yac-0.15-tivo.tar
chmod 777 yac

when I attempt the cpio command it say something like 'command not recognized'.... so is CPIO a built in linux command that SHOULD work, is there another way to accomplish whatver line two is trying to do?

what directory do i need this in?

IN terms of telnet , all the tutorials I've read are for series one ...
anyone have a step by step for series 2?

Might be helpful if we knew what model Tivo you had and what has been done to it.

Its a DRT800 Humax with a clean image. Nothing has been done to it yet.
