Comedian Bob Saget ("The Aristocrats," "Full House") will host "1 vs. 100," in which one player will face off in a trivia challenge against 100 competitors. The solo player has to answer every question correctly, while hoping members of the 100-person mob answer wrong and are eliminated. If the player eliminates everyone, he or she will take home $1 million. Should the single player miss a question, the remaining players among the 100 will split the pot.
Does this mean that the show is guaranteed to give away $1 million per episode? If so, that's pretty interesting since most of these shows that have $1 million as the top prize never actually give that much away.

Being a sucker for game shows, and especially trivia game shows, I'll definitely tune in, especially since I have nothing else at 8/7 on Friday nights.

there HAS to be a catch here. What if the person misses the question right off the bat or something.

I bet the group of 100, one person picked has to answer the question as well or they won't get it or something. Who knows.

If they do it like Deal or no Deal, 100 questions could easily last 5 shows plus.

Sounds like a good idea - I will be tuning in. I would guess that the pot for the 100 builds as they each answer more and more questions correctly.

More info here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1_vs._100).

In short, no, they won't be giving away $1 million every episode.

yeah it seems like only if either the 1 goes all the way, or the 100 goes to like the last question or something. Most likely 10k increments???

Very interesting. Thanks for the link. So the pot grows with each "mob" member that answers incorrectly, and the increments grow with each successive question. If the player answers incorrectly, the remaining mob splits the pot that the player had built up, which might be small (if he misses an early question) or might be very large.

That actually sounds interesting unlike "Deal No Deal".

This looks pretty cool.

I just hope they don't introduce every member of the mob at the tiop of the show. ;)

Hopefully it will be Entourage/RapVideo Saget and not FullHouse/FunnyHomeVideos Saget. :D

Been a long time since there was a prime time game show I wanted to see. Love the Sagat man.

Sounds interesting. I'll watch. Also interesting blurb in the Wikipedia that Ken Jennings (the super-smart Jeopardy guy) was "involved" in the taping, but there is no word if he was a contestant or consultant because he signed a NDA.

Does this mean we're finally going to find out how he met the mother of those two annoying kids? :D

Just saw a commercial for it. Ken Jennings is going to be one of the 100.

I'd have thought that Bob Saget worked hard enough to rid himself of the "Danny Tanner"/host of AFHV nauseatingly-squeaky-clean image to want to go back to anything that might remind people of that. Odd.

I have seen Bob Sagets standup act and it is freaking hilarious it is definitely not what you expect. I'm definitely going to check out this show.

Now there are two opposite ends of the spectrum.

That's the scene I remember every time I see Saget. I also remember almost soiling myself laughing so hard.

It would be hilarious if he ever said something like that on the gameshow.
