Does anyone have a Pioneer 84-TXSi (or any 80-series TXSi)? I'm having a problem with my series 3 when using it through hdmi.

Often, when I turn on my receiver, I find there is no picture or sound from TiVo. I can switch away and back but it doesn't help. I'm pretty sure it is an hdmi problem because a) the hdmi light isn't lit, meaning the receiver isn't getting an hdmi signal (or handshaking is failing, etc), and b) I can blind-navigate to the 'restart tivo' menu and reboot it and immediately things are fine with the standard bootup, etc.

I've tried ubplugging and plugging the HDMI cable while both devices are on, and while the receiver is off, and I've tried new cables -- all no effect. I'm using the high-end monoprice 6' HDMI cables, but I also tried the cables the TiVo comes with to no avail. My Toshia HD-A1 has never had any trouble with HDMI but I don't have any other HDMI devices to test yet.

My TV is a Grand Wega III connected via hdmi->dvi and works fine; I think the issue is TiVo<->receiver.

I just got my CableCards, too, and it's awesome! But this one problem is frustrating. I've ordered some component and toslink cables to confirm it is HDMI, but I'm pretty sure it is. I'd hate to revert back to component hookups.

Man, the Series 3 is *the* TiVo product I've been waiting on for several years now, and I love it -- just this one little glitch, alas.

Thanks!
