Stuck at 'Clear and Delete Everything'

My unit started crawling over the last few months and then yesterday was almost frozen. The picture was pixelated like there was a bad storm and everything took 2-4 minutes to happen. So, I tried to do a 'clear and delete everything', but it won't get past that screen.

Any tips? Thanks.

After researching this issue, seems like a very common problem. I'm concluding that this receiver blows and I wasted $600.

My HR10-250 has slowed to a crawl when adding a new choice of, or changes to a Season Pass. This unit is almost 2 years old and has over 40 saved movies that we don't want to lose. Iamb told that doing a Clear and Delete will speed things up. But, after reading stories on this forum about units freezing and or failing after starting a C&D II"m reluctant to try one.
Anyone have ideas or advise about my doing a C&D.

Try re-booting once a week. I've noticed an improvement in performance, and I have ~ 45 SPs.

My HR10 was freezing up and I was told by tech support to C&D and it froze and remained frozen. I had to get a replacement. Unfortunately I tons of great HD movies on it!! I think the lifespan of these hard drives are 1 year. Luckily I was 1 week prior to 1 year and the thing was still under warranty...
