Alternate audio...

First post...I have had DirecTV with TiVo for years but was a typical "dumb" user...I am trying to get more out of TiVo now...here is a quick overview (things I have learned in the last 48hours)...

- Total Choice package
- Phase 2 antenna
- S-5040Y-CE Multi-Sat Multi-Switch 3-LNBF Y Adaptor Mount (only 2 LNB's though)
- Hughes HDVR2 with 35 hours

The problem I am having is when I watch or record shows using available alternate audio...the alternate audio:
1. is never Spanish (even though TiVo says it is)
2. is missing (no sound at all)
3. is in English and is either louder or quieter than the primary audio

Has anyone had this problem? I have "Googled" and searched this forum but have not found anything...

How do I get the Spanish alternate audio?
