Every so often, when I press the Live TV button, The Guide will display, instead of switching between my Last 2 channels. Why does this happen? And how do I get back to the Last 2 channels switching?

There are two basic types of TiVo peanut, one with a Live TV/Guide button, and the the second with a Live TV button and a Guide button. Some TiVos after a reboot default to the first type.

If you press the TiVo button and then return to live TV, your remote will work as expected.

It means your box rebooted. You might want to wonder why your box rebooted.

Is anyone else having this problem? Mine started a couple days ago and the trick about going to menu and then hitting live tv doesn't work anymore. Does it have anything to do with the 6.3 slices?

It happens to me from time to time with the Harmony 880. I haven't narrowed it down to reboots. However the fix is to take the original peanut out of the drawer, and press the DirecTV button and then the Live TV button. Then, the Live TV button switches tuners with the Harmony.

The TiVo has two different versions of the remote. When the DirecTiVo first reboots it assumes you have the early version of the remote until it sees a key sequence that identifies it as a newer remote. As mikeny said, hitting the DirecTV button and then the live TV button will let the DirecTiVo know you have a new version of the remote. Still works under 6.3 for me.

The reverse is also true for those of us who use Harmony remotes (680) and who like the 'guide' button to actually be the guide button. I just use 'down arrow' to swap tuners.

My other HR10 got 6.3a this morning and when it rebooted, it assumed I had the newer style peanut and so 'guide' was swapping tuners. Hitting 'DirectTV'('TiVo' on old peanuts) and then 'guide' brought it back to my preferred setting.

My 1st HR10 got 6.3a and didn't revert to the newer-style peanut settings. Go figure.
