I'm getting "Search for Sat in 2" which affects HD chnl 72, 76, & 79. Test channel 493 says same thing. I have Hr10-250. All other standard recvrs & chnls are ok. After repeating guided setup, is states "119 degree (B) rightside not detected". Test said 101 & 110 were ok. All cables are tight, nothing has hit my dish, no limbs. DTV said it's probably bad LNB and are scheduled to come out next week at chrg of $30 bucks if I commit to Protection Plan, $70 if don't get PP. Is this something I can troubleshoot further and possibly fix myself? Could it possibly be the Zinwell 6X8 multi-switch? I have surge protection at the MS via power company. The lines from SAT dish route through surge device then to MS then into house. I probably should bypass these first as a test measure. I also have an unsued 3X4 MS but don't know if that will help in testing since this involves HD. If LNB is bad, can I purchase a LNB at a local store such as Best Buy? Suggestions? Thanks in advance for any helps, tips, and encouragement!!!

Could be the M/S and a bypass is the easiest way to determine if that is the problem. Since 119 is the lowest in the sky, obstructions (trees) are a very common problem too.

If your other receivers are fine, then something is problem wrong with the cable/connectors/multiswitch feeding the HR10-250. Try swapping it with one of the "good" receivers. If the problem stays with the HR10-250, then you know it's defective. If the problem stays in that room, then check the cables, multiswitch outputs.

I bypassed the MS...channels in question were showing on the tv however alot of signal breakup. I went back to the dish, got behind it and looked up towards sky as it did and saw several tree limbs that were somewhat in the way. Cut them, and everything works perfectly!!! Thanks for all the tips!
