If you look at the schedule for Wednesday, October 4th, you will see that a repeat of House is in place of Justice. If you go to epguides.com, you'll see that the planned schedule of upcoming shows is the following:

5. 1- 5 JUS-106 27 Sep 06 Crucified
7. 1- 7 JUS-103 4 Oct 06 Wrongful Death
8. 1- 8 JUS-107 Death Spiral
9. 1- 9 JUS-108 Shot to the Heart

but if you look at Tivo's schedule, "Wrongful Death" is scheduled for Sep. 27th and "Crucified" isn't scheduled. Now Oct. 4th is the season opener for Lost, and I saw a rumor on Fox's discussion board that they were considering moving Justice to Monday nights. But why skip an Episode?

1) Show's been cancelled and they decide to show the best of the rest.

2) Show's been moved to Monday starting Oct. 9th, and possibly there was some more editing necessary for "Crucified". So they move up "Wrongful Death" to give more time for reshoots or whatever.

3) They decided to not get in the way of the Lost season premiere and start back up on Wednesday the following week.

Anyone find out anything? Could this be the first cancellation of the season?

Damn. This really started to grow on me. Too many lawyer shows focus on prosecution and not defense.

I won't miss it; there's something too polished about it that just turns me off; I feel like all the lawyers are doing is lecturing to each other and to their client. Pompous.

The only thing I like about it is how they show the sequence of events in the actual crime at the end.

Hopefully a move and not a cancel...I wouldn't mind if Vanished disappeared, but I hope Justice stays.

There is baseball coming up soon, so that might play a factor in when it comes back (if it does, that is)...

I'd be betting on that being the case. Haven't seen confirmation of it, but why would you put one of your new shows, one you hope does well over the season, up for slaughter against the season premiere of one of the biggest shows on network TV?

At some point in the future Justice will have to hold it's own against Lost, but why waste a new episode against the season premiere of Lost?

Granted, they could air a repeat, but why do that either -- they're in a no-win situation either way. Air a repeat and piss off viewers that hate repeats or cry because there's a repeat so early on in the shows life, or just put something else on and let it be the sacrificial lamb for now.

I haven't seen this week's episode yet, but I wouldn't miss the show if it was cancelled. As Doug says, it's a lot of pompous windbags shouting each other down all the time. I like the premise of the show, so I've been watching hoping to see if the characters would show any kind of growth, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Exactly. This is the reason they premiered all the new shows for Fox so early as opposed to waiting after the MLB playoffs.

This was in the newswire about Justice and Happy Hour (http://www.thefutoncritic.com/newswire.aspx?id=7210) .

Looks like is was baseball that's the main cause, although low ratings probably helped.
