How do I speed up an update in progress?

I am getting this message when I try to force a daily call.
"You cannot begin a call or change dialing options because the last update is still in process."

Says next call scheduled for Sunday at 11 am. That is almost two days away. Is there anyway to tell if this is the 6.3 upgrade and if so to do anything to complete the upgrade? I tried a restart and it didnt work.

My understanding is that satellite updates (like in the case of 6.3) are downloaded over the dish signal in small pieces, and then all put together into one big piece when it is all finished and then the box will restart and update.

I do not think that there is any way to make it go any faster.

1) Collect many billions of dollars.
2) Buy DirecTV and TiVo (the companies, not the products).
3) Order the engineers to "hurry the hell up."
4) Sit back and wait for 6.3.
