Comcast just left and installed 2 cablecards. I experienced the same problems many have reported here and were resolved with the methods reported here. Thanks everyone.
BUT...I repeat guided setup and halfway through loading the program info from the first call, TiVo reboots itself. Gets to the "Almost there..." screen and all goes black. Then a green screen pops up saying the DVR has detected a SERIOUS problem and will spend the next THREE HOURS trying to fix it. If it doesn't restart in three hours call customer service. Do not unplug or restart.
I hope it didn't just die!
