Can anyone verify if any local stores have the S3 in stock at the moment?

When I checked Best Buy last thursday, most of the stores had 2-3 in transit. They were supose to be there on Friday, but I don't know if that happened. I went by the Bellevue store and they said there were several people on the wait list, but it was a first come fist serve basis. You could call or go by one of the stores and they can look up in their systems that status of the S3 either at stores or in transit to stores. I ended up just ordering it online. Shiping was about $11 for ground. I ordered on the 15th and recieved it on the 21st. Now I just have to wait for my cable company to come out. :)

If you want to buy one locally, I'd recommend checking the stores every day. Both Best Buy and Fry's have had them in the past. I talked to Fry's last Friday and they claimed they'd have more early this week, but I don't know if they actually got them. However, it's important to not wait until the employees say they'll be in. I went into the Bellevue Best Buy last Wednesday, and was told they wouldn't have them for a week or a week and a half (based on the "in transit" data in the computer). However, it turned out that many of the local stores actually got them Thursday, and I believe I got the last one at any local store Friday morning. If I'd waited the week they had told me to, I would have been SOL. Just keep calling them every day to check (or order online).
