S3 "Lost" Grey's Anatomy

I set the S3 to record Grey's Anatomy at 7pm CST on ABCHD, as well as the premier at 8:00pm CST on ABCHD. These were not season passes, just the marked shows.

I came home about 8:45 and started to watch the first Grey's Anatomy (7pm) and all was fine. I decided to start the 2nd (8pm) show since the first was a repeat. The S3 was still recording the 8pm show w/ about 5 minutes left. I started it at the beginning by going to the Now Playing section. I recieved a blank screen and no green counter bar. I stopped it and waited until 9:05 when the show was over. At this point, it was no longer listed as a recorded program, and appears to be lost.

Any ideas? It recorded the 7pm show OK, the 9pm ER and 9pm Six Show at the same time. Both of those are Ok, and we even watched the 9pm ER starting about 9:15 and eventually caught up to the live broadcast.

Is this a TIVO bug, or did I do something wrong?

My HR10-250 (directv hd tivo) also didn't record it. The "review" episode was recorded, though.

They're replaying it tonight (Friday), btw.

Actually this is how the TiVo behaves when there is no signal. It keeps acting like it's recording because it's waiting for the signal to come back. This happened to me a few weeks ago and the signal must have come back in the middle, because I ended up with half an episode of Prison Break.

That's the one bad thing about all digital recording. The digital stations seem to be less reliable then their analog counterparts.

My HR10-250 had no problems recording both shows. Although for a season opener I don't think you missed much. Seemed pretty lame to me.

Probably region specific as I had no problem recording it in my area either. And I agree with HiDefGator, it was kind of a boring episode anyway so you didn't miss much.
