View Full Version : Using SATA Drive with Series 2

I jusat picked up a 400 gig Seagate SATA HDD from Fry's for 74 bucks after rebate and a SATA to IDE adapter for my mobo in my PC off of ebay. Is there any reason why this combination wouldn't work as an upgrade in my Series 2-60 hour unit???

Another thread current here reports that works on a Series3 standalone. Let us know if your setup works.

The Series3 supports SATA drives natively, so that doesn't really compare with a Series 2 unit. I will say that I don't see any reason that using the adapter in a S2 wouldn't work, as long is it would physically fit in the case.
