Decent show though, uh, doesn't this make about the infinity+1 legal drama ever to hit the airwaves?
I like James Woods a lot, kept wishing that he'd drive up to Vincent Chase's house and start screaming at Johnny Drama and Turtle... ooops, wrong show.
Nice seeing Jeri Ryan (two of 38-D) back on TV, but...
It's got a good time slot though, as it follows CSI, which follows Survivor.
I don't think I'd cry if I missed an episode, but it was tolerable enough to keep watching. Justice is better if I had to pick one of these type shows for the season, but given the time slot this one sits in I don't have that problem and will likely keep watching for a while.

It hasn't aired here yet, but the impression I got from the extended preview that it was "House" in a courtroom.
I guess I'll find out shortly if that's true or not...

First 20 minutes seem like an exaggeration/charichature. Talkie talkie talkie exposition expostition exposition introduction introduction introduction. But I understand it's the pilot.
More importantly, mmm... Sarah Carter.

Cliche-ridden, cartoon-characters that have no relationship to real people. Even James Woods can't pull this one out of the mud. The writers should go on trial!
No second chance after this worse-than-mediocre pilot.

"House" rip-off indeed!!!!!!!!!! Shame shame shame on the writers for this one. James Woods deserves a much better vehicle than this.
The picture of his daughter on his notepad makes him reconsider cross-examining the defendent? Are you kidding me?
The full-sized courtroom in his house has to be the dumbest idea in quite a long time.
And Jeri Ryan seems to be the female clone of Robert Sean Leonard's Dr. Wilson from "House." Of course she's easier on the eyes.
SP cancelled.

House ripoff with one exception... James Woods. Oh yeah, and a lead character I can stand.
WHAT THE HELL has happened to Lynn Whitfield? She's obviously not seen McNamara/Troy lately, she went for the Bobbolit special. She barely even looked like herself. I did a quick search, yikes:

...with Clarence Darrow's "chair from the Scopes Monkey Trial"!
Give me a break!

 from me. I really wanted to like this show, but it's only the pilot, and of course will give it a few more tries.

I'll give Woods another shot or two. Like his typical dialog but agree that the reversal when he thinks of his daughter during the trial was a, shall we say, 'jump the Shark' typa moment? Writers sometimes try to be too cute with pilots. We'll see.

Wow, I totally don't get the negativiyty everyone is throwing towards this show. My wife and I just finished watching and both thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait 'til next week.

Hmm, I really liked it, too. I guess "Shark" is like "House," but what's wrong with that?
The idea of a really rich lawyer having a faux courtroom in his house took less suspension of disbelief than the average "Lost" episode. I mean it was a stupid idea, but it wasn't really a deal breaker for me.

Watched the first 15 minutes or so, didn't find it compelling at all.

Not the best show ever, but I love James Woods and the show as good enough to watch again. It is not going to win any emmys that is for sure. But enitrely watchable.

I'm with devdogaz, I made it about 10-15 minutes in, thought "eh" and deleted the episode. Once the mayor starting talking about a high-powered prosecutor's office to take on all the rich defendents, my eyes glazed over. We need another show about the uber-rich and famous on trial? Isn't that what Law & Order and Justice are for? I don't need another one of those.

OK I thought. Not great. No SP set. I don't watch anything imparticular in that time slot, so if there's nothing else on, I'll probably watch.

The show is good entertainment but won't be on my list of shows to watch the same evening. any other result than the daughter going with the dad would have been a shock. But then why would they have introduced her?

I thought it was ok and can see it getting better in the future. I will give it a few months to see if it gets better. I am a glutton but I always give show a fair shake because to many times a great show has a subpar or average pilot. If I gave up so soon I would of missed out on my favorite show of all time in B5. I do have to chuckle though because on one hand people like to rake fox over the coals for cancelling shows so fast yet so many here will give up on a show after a few minutes.
The show may seem like a house clone but it is missing what I think makes house so great that is the humor. No matter the episode of house there is some classic one liner in the show.

Here's a shocker - this episode was directed by Spike Lee. I didn't even notice.

Pilot it may be but we lasted only half an hour then it was left key, delete, Tivo, season pass manager, delete.
Perhaps it will improve but we are bored to death of legal shows. Oh well.....

With all the hype in ET and TV Guide, I really expected a more compelling show. Woods is okay but the whole premise is just a little bit too far "out there". I don't watch anything else in the time slot so I'll record it a few more times.
