So here I am, with a new S3, and a new 750GB hard drive.
I've got the 4.x MFS CD.
I've got a P4 2.6 MB with two on-board SATA ports.
So - I plug my 750GB into one of the MB SATA ports, boot up, it sees the drive as a pretend IDE drive on /dev/hdf (or hdh, depending on which port I use).
Then it hangs after the IRQ check for my DVDRom.
Any thoughts? I really want to get this new drive in my S3...
