I've been thinking of getting a new TV and a series 3 but I'm finding a lot less information about HDTV on the web than I was expecting. Specifically, I can't seem to find ANY lists of which shows are HD and which are not. I realize that most shows (save premium channels) that are HD are on the broadcast networks, but past there the information seems to be hard to find.

For example... are The Simspons, Family Guy, and American Dad in HD? They aren't that I can find but.. that doesn't mean a lot.

Are there any sites that list what is expected to become HDTV soon (for example: I see Discovery HD doesn't have MythBusters. Wouldn't that be great in HD?).

My last question is "subchannels". I don't know what the right word is but I found a site that said some of my local affiliates carry multiple programs at once on their digital signals (like is possible with HD Radio). Would my cable company be required to carry those "subchannels"?

Look at your listings on http://titantv.com. It is a great source for OTA and cable HDTV listings.

Thanks. I'm surprised that information was so hard to find. I'm also surprised that so few shows are in HD.

So few? The CNET page listed a ton of them...

Almost every primetime network show (8-11pm) is in HD, as are the major sporting events like college football, NFL, MLB, golf tournaments, etc.
