So I was watching TV tonight and I paused the show, a recording, to go get something to eat. When I came back I noticed something weird. I do the SPS9S so I can see the time. I noticed that the actual time had also stopped. As soon as I hit play, the time jumped ahead to the correct time. I guess it's just another bug. Then later in the night, I was switching between OTA HD channels, and I saw it happen again. Also the channel up and down button stopped working. I tried to manually select a channel, and the box rebooted on me. I hope 6.3a is a better effort.

I've had a couple of reboots that always seem to be associated with watching the same OTA channel (WFAA-DT 8.1 in Dallas). It has happened 3 times, twice on one Tivo and once on another.

It's happened to me for the last 3 nights when switching from OTA to anything. Everything locks up and comes back to normal after I unplug the power and plug it back in and it re-boots.

It never did this till the 6.3 update was installed.

No problem with my 3 machines. I've watched at least 10 hours of HD on each machine since the 6.3 update.

This is classic "dying drive" behavior.

Moving lots of things around and using partitions that had been unused before (which happens with major upgrades like 3.1.5 to 6.3) tend to show flaws in drives that weren't apparent before.

I'm seeing the same thing now that I have 6.3. Seems to be associated with tuning OTA channels. Never had a crash for the year I've had the HR10 - now 3 times in 30 minutes.

Happened to me last night. I also seemed to have lost Fox, ABC, UPN in Dallas OTA. No evidence that this is related to 6.3 other than the extremely curious timing.

Happened to me as well. In my case at least, it definitely wasn't the typical dying drive scenario -- prior to rebooting the CPU got badly bound up, and the logs show all kinds of fun things crashing and acting weird.

Definitely seems to be specific to OTA.

Had similar experiences tonight. This unmod'ed HT10-250 has been running beautifully until he 6.3 update late last week. Now, the To Do list starts giving the end of list 'bong' when scrolling through it, then jumps back to the beginning of the list. It's almost a small miracle if I can actually scroll to the bottom of the list.

Now, tonight, while watching a recorded show...bang, 2 spontaneous reboots. I've tried upluging and we'll see if it stabalizes, but I'm really beginning to wonder if this whole 6.3 was really QA'ed. Again, nothing specific to show that it is 6.3, but the timing is awful curious.

It's all a plot to get us to move to H20's.

What your Tivo is crashing?, let us just replace that...
