Yellow, Red and White outputs on the HR10-250.

Make sure you set the output to 480i.

It would help to know exactly what video capture hardware and software you're using, and how you've connected the DVR to your PC (cables, connectors, inputs/outputs).

ok. i have a video card for my computer, ATI Catylyst Media Center. I have a component cable plugged into the red white and yellow on the badk of my hr 10-250 that goes to a s video adapter that is plugged into the s video jack on my video card.

S-video carries video only. There should be red & white RCA audio inputs on the card near the S-video input. The red & white audio out needs to go to that, not into an adapter.

According to http://www.ati.com/products/catalyst/index.html, Catalyst is the software. What brand/model video capture card hardware do you have?
