I have a Hughes SD-DVR40 with a season pass set up for "The New Adventures of Old Christine". Tonight was the season premier and it was not recorded. I checked the recording history and it said that it was not recorded because "the same episode appeared in the NPL or the TD list within 28 days of this broadcast". How is this possible? I checked and that same episode is not scheduled to be re-ran in the next 28 days and obviously has not been aired before tonight. Did anyone else have this happen to them? Makes my wonder how many other shows have not been recorded and I never noticed.

I dont know about your specific show, but some shows this year even on major networks needed to have new passes recreated (specifically desp. housewives). I'd definitely delete and readd this one even if it shows up correctly this time.
also, unfortunately I'd recommend once a week taking a peek at your history list for the upcoming week and seeing what 'wont' be recording. It's a PITA but if you have a lot of SP like me (over 60 active and over 100 total), you gotta do it.

I thought this was the DirecTiVo forum and not the R-15 one. :D

"The New Adventures of Old Christine". recorded fine for us last night. Your system might just need a restart, unplug it and plug it back in after 30 sec.

I had the same exact issue for three brand new shows which couldn't possibly have other episodes in 28 days. The shows were "Grey's Anatomy", "Six Degrees" and "Heroes". This has to be a bug. Anyone know how to correct this? For the latter two, there were brand new Season passes.

I have restarted many times before and since this has happened (just zippered). I had it happen again with the season premier of "Brothers and Sisters". Hope that will be the last of it.

Grey's didn't record for me last and the recording history didn't show anything.
The TDL does show it for next week.
No big loss for me.
