powering up

i have a toshiba rs-tx20 dvd/tivo unit. unit will not go past powering up screen.
its blinks after a few minutes and goes back to powering up screen. changed out hard drive and still wont power up. two gold lite bars on front are on and no screen
power on front, can someone give me some ideas

Do you happen to have a DVD still in the drive? If so, you will need to find the manual release hole and eject the DVD.

no dvd in drive! hard drive running, fan running, no lights on front screen of unit, but two gold bars are lit on front panel
